FAQ

  1. What is this webpage for?
  2. This webpage is for students who are currently registered with the Disability Resource Center at the University of Louisville. Here, you can submit your Service Request Forms online for approval by your coordinator, as well as receive your accommodation letters.

  3. How can services/accommodations be requested each semeseter?
  4. Although the online portal is the recommended method for submitting Service Request Forms each semester, the Word Document version is available online or may be picked up hard copy from the DRC in 119 Stevenson Hall.

  5. How often should services/accommodations be requested?
  6. Students who have been working with the Disability Resource Center should submit a Service Request Form to their coordinator as soon as possible after registering for classes every semester!

  7. When should I submit my accommodation requests?
  8. The priority deadline is approximately two weeks prior to the beginning of the term, but we recommend that students submit a service request form as soon as possible after registering for courses. The Disability Resource Center will make reasonable effort in responding to requests in a timely manner, but providing a Service Request Form late can lead to a delay in services.

  9. Who can make requests using the online portal?
  10. Returning students can use the online portal to submit their Service Requests Forms every semester. If you are a new student to the Disability Resource Center, then you will not be able to use this website to request accommodations. Instead, you should contact the appropriate coordinator as soon as possible to begin getting connected with our office. You will submit your first Service Request Form during your intake meeting with your coordinator.

  11. What if I need additional accommodations, or my accommodations are not correct?
  12. If your accommodations are not correct, or if you feel that you need additional accommodations, you can submit a request through the webportal. When requesting accommodations, select the courses you need a change for, click the button beside "I need additional accommodations", and leave a comment for your coordinator. After reviewing your request, your coordinator will reach out to you. Alternatively, you may contact the appropriate coordinator directly to discuss your accommodation needs.

  13. Why isn't my class listed on the Request Accommodations page?
  14. There could be multiple reasons for this. The DRC system syncs with ULink overnight. If you just registered for your class today, that information hasn’t pulled into our system yet. Also, you must be enrolled in the course in order for it to appear in our system, so if you are currently on the waitlist, the class will not show up until you are enrolled. If neither of these applies to you, please contact your coordinator for assistance.

  15. What if the online Service Request Form is not working for me?
  16. If the online Service Request Form is not working for you, please contact your coordinator for assistance or call us at 502-852-6938.

  17. Why am I getting an error message when I try to log in?
  18. The DRC Online Portal uses your @louisville.edu Microsoft account to login. If another Microsoft account (such as a personal account, family member’s account, etc.) is logged in on your browser, the portal recognizes you as being logged in already, but not with an account that has access to our portal, and gives an error message. If this happens, go to Microsoft Office 365 and log out of whatever account is currently logged in. Then go back to the DRC Online Portal and log in using your @louisville.edu account.
